Team Public Affairs -
Planning is well underway for our USNPAAA Reunion XIV, to be held October 7-9 in Norfolk, Virginia!  Most Navy PAO’s have done a tour in Norfolk at some point in their careers so this will truly be a reunion as well as a time for reminiscing and looking ahead.  If you’ve never been to Norfolk, you’re past due for a visit to the largest fleet concentration area in the world.  Aircraft carriers, SEALs, submarines – you name it, Hampton Roads has it.  While the face and texture of Norfolk continue to change and transform, the energy and service-friendly culture endures.  We plan to capitalize on all that energy and bring you a program that will balance updates on the fleet and the Navy Public Affairs enterprise, with sufficient free time to catch up with friends and shipmates.
The program is firming up ... we are working with CHINFO to have a panel presentation on Saturday morning to include the head of the Navy PA Support Element and the Director or Deputy from the Navy Office of Community Outreach.  You may remember that these two activities are in many ways the successors to the PA Centers and the NAVINFOs respectively ... and they have been doing some incredible stuff.  We'll get an update on the community from the Chief of Information, Rear Admiral Denny Moynihan, that morning as well.  I've also invited RADM Greg Smith to give us a brief overview of his years in Iraq and Afghanistan on Friday afternoon, the 7th of October ... and I have invited and received a tentative accept from retired Admiral Tim Keating (former commander of both Pacific Command and Northern Command) to be our dinner speaker on Saturday evening.  We are still working an active flag for a speaker at lunch on Saturday.
Attached is the registration form (Select the button under my signature).  You can either choose the FULL PROGRAM (best bargain) or select single event a la carte.  Please review the choices and submit the form by September 15th.  Contact the hotel directly and make your reservation no later than September 4th to get the reduced rate.  We’ll take care of the rest – at least the food and program part.  Planning is still in progress to take advantage of the sites and attractions in the greater Hampton Roads area.
We're open to your suggestions and as we finalize the plans … so feel free to contact any of our Reunion Committee members with comments or suggestions:
